Getting kids to cook and bake together is a fun learning experience where you can teach them about the food they're making and preparation techniques. Not only that, most kids are much more interested in making food that looks cute and take pride in sharing it with others.
Here is a simple and fun recipe to encourage little ones to bake with you in the kitchen.
Ingredients for cookies:
- 60g of melted butter
- 100g of flour
- 50g of icing sugar
Ingredients for decorations:
- 100g of cooking chocolate, melted.
- Almond flakes
Mix flour, icing sugar and melted butter in a mixing bowl. Gently fold them into a dough, then devide them into equal portion of small round cookies. Place the cookies on baking tray, put them in a pre-heated oven at 180C for 12 minutes (Note: adult supervision is required when using oven).
Cool the cookies completely. Combine 2 cookies with melted chocolate, "draw" 2 eyes and pattern for the bumble bee's body. Finally, decorate with almond flakes as the wings of bumble bee.
